About
The SBD Dauntless, introduced in 1940, was the U.S. Navy’s primary carrier-based dive bomber and scout until 1944. Famous for sinking four Japanese carriers at Midway, it earned the nickname “Slow But Deadly.” It was beloved for its rugged build, long range, and precision dive abilities
Playstyle
Designed for dive-bombing missions: approach at low/medium altitude, dive steeply, release bombs near the target, then climb out. Though slow, it’s very stable in a dive thanks to its bomb-brakes and durable design. Rear gunner provides defensive support, but avoid engagements without cover .
