About
France’s first homegrown jet fighter (Tier 5, Level 9), entering service in 1952. The Ouragan featured swept wings, a Rolls-Royce Nene engine (licensed Hispano‑Suiza), and a nose-mounted quartet of 20 mm M50 cannons. It marked a critical revival of French aviation post‑WWII.
Playstyle
Operates best as an energy fighter—employ boom‑and‑zoom tactics, diving from altitude to strike then climb back. Retains good energy in vertical dives and turns but suffers heavy compression past Mach ~0.8 (~850 km/h). Avoid low-level turn engagements where momentum bleeds too fast.
