Kikka

The Kikka is Japan’s first jet, inspired by the Me 262 but smaller and lighter. It uses twin Ne‑20 engines, two powerful 30 mm Type 5 cannons, and can mount bombs. It reached only prototype stage before WWII ended

Playstyle

This jet works best with boom-and-zoom tactics: climb, dive at high speed, fire its cannons (watch for ammo), then climb back. It handles fairly well in one-circle fights thanks to good TWR and energy retention, but beware diving too fast—it can rip wings

Pros and Cons

Pros
➕ Good thrust-to-weight and climb
➕ Devastating 30 mm cannons (potential one-shot kills)
➕ Solid energy retention and diving performance

Cons
➖ Low top speed (840 kph) limits optimization
➖ Only 100 rounds total (50 per cannon)
➖ Poor stall handling—vulnerable in low-speed fights

Trivia

- This blend of early jet and boom-and-zoom niche makes the Kikka “a neat plane” with a steep learning curve
